Zurich Deleon (she/they) is a playwright, director, and arts administrator based in New York. Currently, she serves as the Studio Manager for artist Alteronce Gumby, while also holding the position of Executive Producer for the documentary COLOR, set to premiere later in 2024. Constantly developing new writing works, Zurich hopes to present a staged reading soon. Beyond her career, she actively engages in community building within her art circle and offers consultation services for emerging and established artists seeking support in developing their practice.
Zurich graduated from Wesleyan University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theater. She minored Design, Engineering, and Applied Sciences, accompanied by a certification in Creative Writing. Leveraging her expertise, she has contributed to organizations such as Silver Art Projects, Malcolm Brown Gallery, Alteronce Gumby Studio, and Dark Matter Media. Zurich's personal collaborations span a diverse array of creators, including Alteronce Gumby, Tariku Shiferaw, Tourmaline, Seph Rodney, Kevin Holliday, Rhonda Brown, and Dachelle. Through her work, she crafts original marketing materials and digital media, ensuring her collaborators' creative endeavors are shared through compelling and authentic narratives.
Zurich is recognized as a Girl's Inc Girl Hero and is a Greenhouse Creative artist as part of the Space Residency Program's 2022 Fall cohort.
